About The Position

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. In this role, you'll forge essential partnerships with suppliers to safeguard the quality and performance of our data centers' electrical power distribution infrastructure. Your expertise will be key in collaborating with teams across product design, procurement, manufacturing, and data center operations. You'll advocate data-driven decision-making, leading root cause analyses and implementing proactive, sustainable corrective actions to ensure our infrastructure meets the highest standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and quality assurance.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in end-to-end product life-cycle management, including developing customer user journey maps, aligning to specific requirements for development, and working with technical resources to deliver expected outcomes for products and solutions.
  • Experience with FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) process and interacts with functional engineering teams.
  • Experience in quality control, quality assurance, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with electrical power distribution equipment suppliers, ensuring proactive quality management throughout the product life-cycle.
  • Lead in-depth power distribution failure investigations, identifying true root causes and implementing systemic corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Analyze production metrics, test results, quality audits, and field performance data to establish statistical links and drive proactive quality improvements.
  • Validate supplier build and test processes against Google requirements and relevant industry standards (e.g., Production Part Approval Process) to ensure compliance and product life-cycle integrity.
  • Conduct supplier audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement in variability reduction, predictability, lead time optimization, and output quality enhancement.
