About The Position

The Global Operations Group at Lam Research integrates information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing to power global business operations, ensuring the delivery of industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, and supporting resilient and profitable growth. As a Technical Program Manager within the Pilot organization, you will be instrumental in orchestrating breakthroughs for new product development and the release of advanced semiconductor equipment. This role involves leading cross-functional teams through successful project execution, combining technical expertise with strategic planning to deliver new or upgraded products. You will own technical projects from initiation to delivery, utilizing your skills in planning, directing, and monitoring schedules and budgets. Your contributions will be crucial in enabling fast and competitively differentiated transitions of new products to high-volume manufacturing partners, encompassing broad, challenging, and continuously evolving responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience; or a PhD with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of continuous improvement or technical program management experience.
• Experience guiding cross-functional teams and demonstrating leadership and influencing skills to deliver results.
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to present to audiences at all levels in the company.
• Strong engineering and manufacturing operations knowledge.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to apply communication and problem-solving skills in a variety of business contexts.
• Experience delivering formal presentations to leadership, management, and individual contributors.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams while advising teams and individuals.
• Experience providing coaching and training as needed.
• Strong track record of success in program scheduling, including establishing milestones and checkpoints and tracking changes.
• Ownership of multidimensional skill sets in operations, product management, and/or engineering.
• Ability to manage risks and issues until resolved or mitigated.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in semiconductor fabrication, semiconductor equipment operations, or related industries is a plus.
• Knowledge of program management methods and experience in Product Development and Release (PDR) procedures.
• Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or PRINCE2.
• Experience in Lean Six Sigma methodology or certification (Green Belt, Black Belt) is a plus.
• Experience in change management methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams using program phase gates to deliver New Product Introduction.
• Manage transition schedules and upstream milestones.
• Oversee the optimization of projects by developing project plans, aligning teams, managing risk, and driving projects through release.
• Take ownership and accountability for the success of projects and cross-functional teams to ensure program schedules, performance metrics, and delivery meet business requirements on time and within budget.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand process and system requirements, and deliver enhancements based on a changing technology landscape.
• Run Continuous Improvement projects from inception to impactful results.
• Perform data collection and statistical analysis, and report results to inform program schedules and deliverables.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders to continuously improve processes and inspire alignment.
• Successfully navigate multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
