About The Position

Every day, Global Payments makes it possible for millions of people to move money between buyers and sellers using our payments solutions for credit, debit, prepaid and merchant services. Our worldwide team helps over 3 million companies, more than 1,300 financial institutions and over 600 million cardholders grow with confidence and achieve amazing results. We are driven by our passion for success and we are proud to deliver best-in-class payment technology and software solutions. Join our dynamic team and make your mark on the payments technology landscape of tomorrow. Summary of This Role Provides hands-on validation and readiness assessment for POS devices, payment terminals, kiosks, and in-store hardware systems used in restaurant and retail environments. Ensures devices, peripherals, networking, and fleet management capabilities function reliably together by loading software builds, enrolling devices into remote management platforms, executing real-world store and deployment scenarios, and identifying integration and lifecycle risks. Serves as the Product organization’s execution arm for hardware, store systems, and device fleet validation, providing evidence-based feedback to Product Management, Engineering, and vendor partners to support informed go or no-go deployment decisions. What Part Will You Play? Validate POS devices, payment terminals, kiosks, and in-store hardware by loading existing software builds and configuring devices for testing. Enroll devices into remote device management and terminal management systems to validate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle workflows. Test remote deployments, software updates, and over-the-air (OTA) updates across devices and store environments. Set up and test complete restaurant and retail store environments, including POS systems, peripherals, and network infrastructure. Test and validate peripherals such as printers, scanners, weight scales, PIN pads, cameras, routers, switches, and wireless access points. Execute end-to-end store workflows including payments, order processing, inventory interactions, and peripheral-dependent flows. Identify hardware, firmware, OS-level, peripheral, integration, and fleet management defects through structured testing and scenario simulation. Test failure and edge scenarios including network outages, interrupted updates, peripheral disconnects, power cycling, and device recovery behavior. Capture logs, reproduce issues, and document defects with clear steps, impact assessment, and environmental context. Partner with Engineering to support defect triage, root cause analysis, and validation of fixes across devices and fleet tools. Coordinate with hardware vendors, peripheral suppliers, networking partners, and device management platform providers to resolve compatibility and deployment issues. Provide clear, evidence-based feedback to Product Management on device readiness, store-level risks, and fleet deployment recommendations.
