Reporting to the Senior Manager, US Service in our Hudson, NH facility, the Service Engineer plays a critical role in preserving Teledyne FLIR's position as the Global Leader for test and measurement and thermal imaging product solutions through the testing and calibration of factory supplied and customer owned test & measurement, and handheld thermal imaging products. This position may also include light production work for thermal imaging systems. The work environment is team-based, and collaboration is encouraged. Compliance with Global Trade, and ISO directives is a requirement of the position.

  • Receives general guidance and work assignments that are moderate in complexity
  • Reviews customer documentation to determine steps for assessment and return to customer (e.g. testing, calibration, repair, certification)
  • Uses various standards and equipment to perform functional testing of Test & Measurement, and handheld thermal Imaging products (e.g. humidity chambers, wind tunnel, light tower, heat sources, etc.)
  • Performs post-test/repair alignment/calibration and full functional tests to validate product
  • Documents all test results in database, verifies accuracy and produces certificates of conformity for products
  • Communicates with internal staff in verbal or written form
  • Perform assembly, testing and packing of thermal imaging products
  • Ensures compliance with ISO 9001 quality policies and procedures
  • Interacts with customer service representatives to provide status updates and related information leading to a positive customer experience and business growth
  • One to three years of experience in the electronics trade, preferred.
  • Well qualified candidates with a blend of formal education and work experience will be considered
  • Ability to produce a high volume of work while achieving customer quality expectations
  • Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment and tools common to the trade
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electronics systems maintenance and repair methods. Knowledge of thermal imaging products is a plus
  • Ability to task organize and work within a team to complete time-sensitive assignments
  • Must employ strict attention to detail and respond positively to unplanned changes in work assignments
  • Verbal and written correspondence in English is required to perform assigned tasks
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
