The role is to be located in EMEA (preferred location Beerse BE) or in the United States (preferred location Titusville NJ). This position has the potential to be located at another J&J facility within the US or EMEA for the right talent. Pharm TranSCend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one “clean” ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains. The program will simplify the Pharm ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardizing processes in order to have a cost effective, fit for purpose digital backbone that will enable us to support the Pharm business with agility. Additionally, the program will remediate the end-of-life system exposure that we risk towards the end of this decade. As part of the Pharm TranSCend Program, we are looking for a highly skilled and delivery-focused IT professional with proven knowledge and practical experience in Master Data Governance. This individual will play a key role in translating business requirements into actionable project deliverables, ensuring effective solution design, and partnering with stakeholders and integration partners to drive successful MDG implementation. The JJT TPO MDG is responsible for coordination and oversight of delivery activities for workflow-based MDG solutions that ensure accurate, secure, and compliant master data across the IM organization. This position requires strong professional experience to manage requirements, align with business priorities, and support delivery teams in achieving agreed outcomes. The JJT TPO MDG role will work closely with business stakeholders and the integration partners to validate requirements, perform gap analysis, support solution design, and ensure developments meet functional acceptance criteria. Person at this role will follow up on execution to ensure that development, testing, and cutover activities are aligned with established project plans and schedules. Operating within an Agile delivery framework, the JJT TPO MDG will partner with technical and business teams to ensure user stories are well-defined, workflows are clear, and specifications are accurate — enabling delivery teams to implement functionality that meets business expectations.

Requirements

Required Minimum Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
Required Years of Related Experience: A minimum of 6 years of overall working experience, 3+ years of experience with workflow-based master data governance platforms (SAP MDG or similar).
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: (Include any required computer skills, certifications, licenses, languages, etc.) Strong understanding of master data governance processes and principles.
Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional IT deliverables in large enterprise projects.
Strong knowledge with SAP data structures, especially in master data domains (materials, vendors and customers).
Experience working in Agile environments and with backlog/user story management tools (e.g., Jira).
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail in evaluating processes and data.
Experience collaborating with external integration partners and internal business process owners.
Ability to create process maps, swim lane diagrams, and workflow documentation using appropriate diagramming or workflow visualization tools.
Experience in functional testing and validating MDG deliverables against acceptance criteria.
Ability to query and analyze data using SQL or SAP reporting tools (e.g., SAP Fiori apps, Analysis for Office).
Understanding of integration touchpoints between MDG and surrounding SAP/non-SAP systems.
Skills to perform gap analysis and functional impact assessments.
Ability to review and provide feedback on functional specifications and configuration documentation.

Preferred Related Industry Experience: Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Consumer Products.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: SAP MDG certification or advanced functional expertise.
Lean requirements gathering and story mapping experience.
Ability to pick up technical and business concepts quickly.
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals).
Proficiency in business process modeling and documentation.

Responsibilities

Accountable for Product Design & Solutioning Gather, refine, and document functional requirements for MDG in collaboration with business stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into technical user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
Conduct workflow analysis to understand current-state processes and propose optimized governance workflows.
Perform gap analysis between existing MDG functionality and business needs.
Support solution design to ensure compliance with master data governance principles and global platform standards.
Accountable for Delivery Maintain and prioritize the Agile backlog, ensuring scope alignment with project capacity and timelines.
Oversee development, testing, and cutover activities to confirm delivery meets functional specifications and aligns with the project plan.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, Scrum ceremonies, and solution reviews.
Execute hands-on testing, validation, and acceptance checks for developed solutions.
Track and report deliverables against planned milestones and acceptance criteria.
Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration Partner closely with internal business stakeholders to confirm priorities, clarify requirements, and gain acceptance for deliverables.
Work with the integration partner to validate technical feasibility and align solution design with global standards.
Provide transparent progress updates, risks, and issue tracking for all MDG-related developments.
Support change management and user adoption through preparation and review of documentation.
Governance, Compliance & Quality Ensure all MDG developments adhere to security, compliance, and data protection requirements.
Embed data quality controls and governance principles into MDG workflows.
Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes, templates, and documentation standards.
