As a Technical Product Marketer, you will be responsible for building Octopus’s story for Continuous Delivery at Scale and driving market leadership in the DevOps space, with the mission to win more enterprise business by effectively reaching and explaining the value of our solution to prospects and existing customers. To achieve this mission, the Product Marketer is an integral part of the Marketing organization, working closely with other marketing functions, such as DevRel, Digital Marketing, and Field Marketing. In this role, you will also collaborate cross-functionally with the Product & Engineering and the Revenue teams on Go-To-Market strategy and execution, and you will have end-to-end ownership of high-impact product launches. This role is a remote position based in the US but will require travelling globally. As we work in a global organization, some meetings will be outside of the local work hours. To help our teams work together effectively, this remote position requires you to be located on the West Coast (PST/MST) of the United States.

  • Research how customers and target personas think about commercial vs. DIY options and share findings to help shape GTM activities.
  • Support the development and oversee the execution of Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for central IT, business units, and individual teams within enterprises.
  • Draft clear messaging that highlights Octopus’s business value (time, money, risk) for different audiences in large companies — decision makers, influencers, and users.
  • Create marketing content — such as articles, videos, demos, press releases, and case studies — with guidance from DevRel and Product teams to showcase ROI and product benefits.
  • Partner with Digital and Field Marketing to deliver demand and lead generation campaigns, and report on results using pipeline, win rates, and adoption metrics.
  • Collaborate with Product and Sales to incorporate customer insights into product roadmap updates and sales campaigns.
  • Manage analyst and media briefings (e.g., Gartner, Forrester) to support vendor ratings and create publicity opportunities.
  • Multiple years of experience in enterprise software product marketing, including SaaS products, through several tier 1 launches.
  • Positioned technical solutions that improve productivity of organizations and business units, ideally related to software development.
  • Created sales messages that enterprise sellers can use for their account-based campaigns.
  • Developed targeted communication, including presenting the solution's value for specific personas.
  • Developed go-to-market strategy (product, positioning, promotion, pricing) based on market, competitive, and customer insights.
  • Led cross-functional projects, engaging with different stakeholders, and across key functions.
  • Self-driven and able to work in a distributed environment, including working flexible hours and traveling to team meet-ups and industry events when required.
