Technical Product Manager

eTeamSponsorConcord, CA
$30,000 - $30,000Onsite

About The Position

eTeamSponsor is expanding its platform beyond fundraising to include ticketing, concessions, and other monetization capabilities for schools. The company is seeking a Technical Product Manager to provide structure, clarity, and execution discipline during a critical 90-day build phase for this expansion. This role serves as a crucial link between leadership vision and engineering execution, requiring the ability to translate high-level, evolving directions into clear, technically sound, and developer-ready work. The position demands strong ownership to ensure that all development is well-defined, feasible, and prepared for execution, going beyond mere coordination or documentation.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years in Product Management or similar roles.
  • Strong technical understanding (systems, APIs, data flows).
  • Experience writing clear, developer-ready requirements.
  • Ability to bring structure to complex or evolving inputs.
  • Strong collaboration with engineering teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical background or strong technical fluency.
  • Experience with payment systems or transactional platforms.
  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to refine, shape, and structure ideas into actionable work. Convert inputs into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Ensure all work is clear, complete, and ready for development. Identify edge cases, key scenarios, and system considerations early. Define flows, dependencies, and scope boundaries upfront.
  • Translate priorities into a structured and evolving roadmap. Balance business goals, engineering capacity, and delivery timelines. Provide input on feasibility, sequencing, and trade-offs. Help bring clarity to requirements and timelines through thoughtful analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to validate feasibility and shape system behavior. Think in terms of data flows, APIs, integrations, and system constraints. Improve engineering effectiveness by providing clear and structured inputs.
  • Own backlog quality, structure, and readiness. Ensure work is well-scoped, testable, and clearly prioritized. Minimize ambiguity before development begins.
  • Own requirements through delivery. Continuously refine requirements as new information becomes available. Identify and address gaps early to support smooth execution.
  • Support development of new capabilities such as ticketing and concessions. Define MVP vs. iteration strategy for new features.
