Technical Product Manager

About The Position

SPE is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager on contract to serve as a strategic execution partner to SPE leadership. This is a versatile, high-judgment role—assignments shift on an ad hoc basis depending on daily priorities. The focus is on executive communications, presentation development, data-driven analysis, and technical collaboration—not traditional sprint execution or backlog ownership. The ideal candidate can translate complex technical and organizational narratives into polished, executive-ready materials with minimal direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6–10 years in technical product management, executive communications, or strategy roles within large technology or life sciences organizations.
  • Mastery of PowerPoint / Google Slides with a track record of executive-grade presentation work.
  • Excellent writing skills—able to produce polished content for senior leadership with minimal revision.
  • Strong stakeholder management in matrixed organizations.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, including LLMs and prompt engineering.
  • Experience in regulated industries (pharma, healthcare, financial services, or similar).
  • Local to Indianapolis and available on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and edit leadership communications—org updates, talking points, meeting briefs, town hall scripts, and executive correspondence—across channels (SharePoint, email, collaboration tools).
  • Build executive-ready decks for business reviews, portfolio reviews, steering committees, town halls, and external partner meetings.
  • Develop platform-specific content approaches (web, email, social amplification via Comms, conference messaging, stakeholder briefings).
  • Introduce high-clarity formats: visual one-pagers, narrative memos, infographics, decision briefs, short-form video scripts, and interactive FAQs—while staying compliant.
  • Build compelling charts, dashboards, and data summaries that support executive decision-making.
  • Translate workforce analytics, portfolio data, and operational metrics into senior-leadership-ready formats.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to build business cases, validate impact, and inform prioritization.
  • Partner with analytics teams to source, validate, and instrument data used in executive materials.
  • Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to understand technical constraints, platform capabilities, and integration dependencies.
  • Engage credibly in discussions on AI/ML product design, including large language models, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows.
  • Articulate non-functional requirements (scalability, reliability, security) for executive and stakeholder audiences.
  • Support special projects as directed—organizational planning, offsite preparation, cross-functional deliverables.
  • Operate with high autonomy, managing ambiguity and shifting priorities with minimal oversight.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality given exposure to sensitive organizational and strategic information.
