About The Position

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to serve as the operational backbone of our development teams. This role blends the day-to-day cadence management of a Scrum Master with the backlog ownership and stakeholder translation of a Product Owner. You will manage delivery across outsourced development partners and internal technical staff, ensuring work ships on time, meet acceptance criteria, and aligns to our product roadmap. This is a hands-on role. You will run standups, manage sprint ceremonies, track delivery, remove blockers, and serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for our development vendors. You will translate product requirements into actionable stories, manage UAT, coordinate releases, and keep the VP of Product focused on strategy rather than execution details. During deployments, you will work directly with operations leadership and field-based team members to ensure smooth rollouts, gather feedback, and validate that solutions work in real-world conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing software development projects, including working directly with engineering teams on delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience with agile/scrum methodologies in a hands-on Scrum Master or Technical PM capacity.
  • Experience managing outsourced or distributed development teams with clear accountability frameworks.
  • Experience with enterprise change management efforts, including stakeholder communication, training coordination, and adoption tracking.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data privacy requirements (HIPAA)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and business audiences.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where priorities shift and scrappiness is valued.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud and/or Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, data pipelines)
  • MBA, Computer Science, or Engineering degree
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification
  • Previous experience working with remote, field-based employees who have varying levels of technical literacy.
  • Healthcare services or Medicaid/managed care industry experience
  • Experience with Salesforce platform tooling, deployment pipelines, or release management processes

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day management of outsourced Salesforce development and data analytics vendor teams, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
  • Drive sprint execution: track velocity, manage scope, surface risks early, and hold vendors accountable to committed deliverables.
  • Manage release planning and coordination across environments, including UAT cycles and production deployments.
  • Maintain and groom the product backlog in partnership with the VP of Product, ensuring stories are clearly defined with acceptance criteria.
  • Remove blockers and escalate issues before they impact delivery timelines.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, translating business needs into technical requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional testing and sign-off with operations, clinical, quality, and growth teams.
  • Facilitate change management communication for new releases, working with L&D and operations leadership to ensure smooth adoption.
  • Provide regular status updates and delivery metrics to the VP of Product and executive leadership.
  • Establish and continuously improve agile delivery processes across distributed teams.
  • Ensure development work meets quality standards, including documentation, testing, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
  • Manage environment and deployment processes in coordination with the Salesforce Deployment Manager
  • Track and report on team capacity, velocity, and delivery health to inform roadmap planning.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary ($100,000–$125,000) and benefits
  • Remote-first work environment
  • High-impact role with direct visibility to executive leadership and PE investors
  • Opportunity to shape how technology scales a mission-driven healthcare organization.
  • A product and technology team that is building something meaningful.
