About The Position

Drive the future of investment data at Vanguard! Vanguard is hiring a Technical Project Manager to drive the strategic execution and roadmap for products within our Investment Book of Record (IBOR) domain. This role requires a strong understanding of IBOR's critical function in delivering real-time investment data and ensuring operational excellence. You will focus on monitoring and optimizing existing products, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing enhancements that maintain stability and scalability, while aligning technology delivery with business objectives to support enterprise-wide impact

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
  • Minimum of five years related work experience.
  • Strong understanding of IBOR and its role in delivering real-time investment data while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Familiarity with investment operations, data management, and asset management technology environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement scalable solutions that align with business objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • Two years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational projects preferred.
  • Experience with IBOR platforms (e.g., SimCorp, Eagle, Aladdin) and knowledge of portfolio accounting systems, trade lifecycle, and corporate actions preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads technical product management activities for multiple technical products, or one strategic technical product within IBOR, ensuring alignment with portfolio accounting and investment operations workflows.
  • Participates in the design and continuous improvement of IBOR-related technical solutions that support real-time investment data delivery.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams across asset management technology, data management, and investment operations to create best practices that drive significant change to the client experience.
  • Coaches technical product teams towards best practices and learnings.
  • Ensures delivery of messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary.
  • Partners with stakeholders to resolve production and implementation issues in a timely manner, and supports/drives escalations where required to enable rapid delivery.
  • Leads the planning, development, and implementation of new technical products.
  • Defines and analyzes technical markets, developing detailed product features and requirements, and developing implementation plans.
  • Employs a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience.
  • Participates in and provides recommendations for ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.
  • Participates in the team's engineering practices in development, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
