About The Position

Henderson Engineers is looking to hire a Technical Product Analyst to join their Technology group. The Technical Product Analyst serves as a critical bridge between engineering domain expertise, product strategy, and platform execution for Henderson Companies Engineers’ software platforms and related digital initiatives. This role combines an understanding of building systems engineering workflows with strong analytical, documentation, and enablement skills to translate real-world engineering practice into scalable, usable, and reliable digital products. The Technical Product Analyst partners closely with Product, Development, Engineering, Data, UX, and internal subject-matter experts to define requirements, validate logic, support adoption, and continuously improve how Henderson delivers value through technology. This role does not manage people but exercises influence through clarity, rigor, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, design technology, or a related field preferred with 2+ years of typical total experience, or 5+ years of experience without a degree in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with core platforms (e.g., Revit, Bluebeam, Teams, Microsoft Power Suite) with a strong grasp of how they support technical or operational workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn technical tools and apply them in a business context

Responsibilities

  • Analyze how engineers and designers use tools in day-to-day workflows, identifying friction, variability, and improvement opportunities.
  • Document current-state and future-state workflows, process maps, and supporting visuals.
  • Contribute to standardization efforts while preserving appropriate flexibility across project types, markets, and client needs.
  • Translate engineering workflows, assumptions, and constraints into clear product requirements and structured logic.
  • Support the definition of engineering rulesets, sizing logic, decision pathways, and edge cases used within software modules and internal platforms.
  • Partner with Product Strategy and Product Owners to help shape epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release scope.
  • Assist in documenting how engineering decisions are represented within digital tools to ensure transparency and trust.
  • Support testing, validation, and quality assurance of product features and engineering outputs.
  • Create and execute realistic test scenarios based on real project conditions and engineering use cases.
  • Review outputs for engineering accuracy, usability, and alignment with Henderson standards.
  • Assist with Tier 2/3 platform support related to engineering workflows, templates, and configurations.
  • Work with product, software development, and engineering users ensuring intent and context are clearly communicated.
  • Collaborate with data teams on benchmarks, heuristics, datasets, and feedback loops that inform product behavior.
  • Partner with UX to ensure user interfaces and workflows reflect how engineering workflowsPartner with team members, end users, and support staff to understand business needs
  • Supports internal working groups and tool rollout activities.
  • Participates in cross-functional feedback and working sessions as needed.
  • Help maintain and evolve engineering templates, standards, and documentation embedded in tools and platforms.
  • Support onboarding, training, and enablement efforts for new or enhanced tools.
  • Develop user-facing documentation, visuals, and reference materials to drive adoption and consistent use.
  • Collect, synthesize, and communicate user feedback to inform continuous improvement.
  • Communicates the benefits of improved workflows or tools to users.
  • Stay current on relevant technologies, codes, standards, and industry trends that impact building systems design and digital workflows.
  • Actively participate in team learning, retrospectives, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Participates in team meetings and peer learning activities.
  • Shares tips, findings, or helpful resources with others on the team.
  • Receives coaching and direction from senior Applications Specialists.
