The Process Technician plays an essential role in the plastic injection molding process, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently to meet production goals. This position is responsible for equipment setup, adjustments, troubleshooting, and ongoing process optimization. The Process Technician collaborates with engineering and production teams to implement improvements and maintain high standards of quality and productivity. Requirements

  • Technical certification or relevant training in plastics manufacturing.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with injection molding equipment.
  • Knowledge of process optimization and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and measurement instruments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting and team coordination.
  • Availability for mandatory holiday and overtime shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust injection molding equipment for optimal performance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot equipment to address quality or efficiency issues.
  • Conduct process trials and experiments to refine machine settings.
  • Maintain production logs, calibration records, and machine settings.
  • Work with engineering to support new product introductions.
  • Adjust machine parameters to improve product consistency and reduce waste.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and minor repairs on production machinery.
  • Provide training and guidance to operators on machine operation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for better efficiency.
  • Support quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
