Technical Policy and Risk Analyst III

IDS tailors solutions for a diverse range of government, military, nonprofit, and public-sector clients. This position is contingent upon contract award. Leads research and evaluation of emerging technologies and their impact on established security practices. Updates technical security policies, recommends countermeasures, and oversees working groups to develop SOPs. Advises senior managers, represents ST/TIE in developing Department policy, FAM, and FAH, and coordinates with SMEs to respond to post requests for technical security exceptions and guidance.
Requirements
- Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in security/management or related field.
- Experience with IC and OSPB standards; strong technical/report writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365; data lifecycle experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead policy updates and risk assessments for emerging technologies.
- Oversee mitigation strategy working groups (CNSS, NIST, OSPB).
- Manage data lifecycle activities to support policy and risk management.
- Represent ST/TIE during policy generation; respond to exception requests.
