About The Position

Hennessy Research Associates, a Kemin company, is seeking a Technical Operator with a specialized focus on Media Preparation. We’re looking for a motivated team member who loves hands‑on lab work and takes pride in creating the essential materials that keep scientific discovery moving forward. In this role you will prepare high‑quality cell culture media - following established recipes, performing accurate measurements, and applying solid basic math skills to ensure every batch meets our standards. In this role, you’ll operate equipment such as steam kettles and autoclaves, support smooth production workflows, and take on additional tasks as part of routine media preparation. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must interact well with others in a team environment.
  • Exhibit attention to detail.
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Good oral communication skills with a minimal English proficiency level.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cell culture media by accurately following established recipes and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform precise measurements and calculations using basic math skills
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as steam kettles and autoclaves
  • Handle raw materials, supplies, and finished media, including routine lifting of containers weighing 55+ lbs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area to support smooth laboratory and production workflows.
  • Follow safety guidelines and documentation practices
