About The Position

We are looking for an early career candidate to perform validation of server-based route navigation for all navigation systems installed in Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles in order to enhancing the accuracy of traffic information, improving route quality, and providing recommended routes for user convenience. You will evaluate new features and quality enhancements relevant to our navigation systems by continuously analyzing and improving quality assessment and management efficiency in an effort to provide the best service to our customers and secure global competitiveness in navigation software quality. Selected candidate will be responsible for the North American Connected Routing (SBR - Server Based Routing) operation. You will collect, interpret, and visualize driving test data for the purpose of improving user experience by comparing, analyzing, and benchmarking tests against competitors to improve connected routing quality. You will report on daily/monthly user usage trends by cross analyzing data from the connected car service (CCS) servers and geographic information systems (GIS) servers and analyze the accuracy of traffic data from the multiple providers using organizational scoring methods Research and prepare required test environments and corresponding vehicles to confirm the functionality of software including planning and performing driving field tests for software updates, routes and traffic quality Communicate with the CCS team regarding server issues, system maintenance, and client requests, as well as report maps related issues to the provider and test the corrections

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronic/mechanical engineering, geographic information systems or related fields.
  • 0-2 years of experience in quality assurance, engineering, or related fields
  • Strong root-cause analysis skills and be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines
  • Able to drive for long periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience analyzing data using Python
  • Previous experience using test automation tools and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Previous test-driving experience
