Job Summary/Description: TMP will code and operate Ross Overdrive and related equipment for newscasts. They will also perform Master Control duties, including monitoring on-air channels and ingesting programming and commercials.

Requirements

Team-first attitude with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively under time-sensitive, live-production deadlines.
Strong technical aptitude and computer skills; comfortable learning new production/playout systems.
Previous newscast directing and master control experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Ross Overdrive and/or VizRT is a definite plus.

Responsibilities

Code live and pre-recorded content for WVUE and operate Ross Overdrive and related equipment.
Work with other departments, including WVUE’s newsroom, to coordinate and produce top-rated television and digital programs.
Monitor on-air signals for WVUE, ingest daily programming and commercials.
Operate Ross Overdrive automation (including Panasonic robotic cameras, Ross Carbonite Ultra switcher, and Calrec audio console), VizRT graphics, and supporting equipment in the WVUE control center.
Work closely with other departments to meet daily demands as necessary.
Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate as needed to maintain uninterrupted operations.
