Job Summary/Description: TMP will code and operate Ross Overdrive and related equipment for newscasts. They will also perform Master Control duties, including monitoring on-air channels and ingesting programming and commercials.

Requirements

  • Team-first attitude with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under time-sensitive, live-production deadlines.
  • Strong technical aptitude and computer skills; comfortable learning new production/playout systems.
  • Previous newscast directing and master control experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ross Overdrive and/or VizRT is a definite plus.

Responsibilities

  • Code live and pre-recorded content for WVUE and operate Ross Overdrive and related equipment.
  • Work with other departments, including WVUE’s newsroom, to coordinate and produce top-rated television and digital programs.
  • Monitor on-air signals for WVUE, ingest daily programming and commercials.
  • Operate Ross Overdrive automation (including Panasonic robotic cameras, Ross Carbonite Ultra switcher, and Calrec audio console), VizRT graphics, and supporting equipment in the WVUE control center.
  • Work closely with other departments to meet daily demands as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate as needed to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Other duties as assigned
