Job Summary ABOUT DATABEE DataBee (https://www.databee.ai) is a security data platform focused on Continuous Controls Monitoring (CCM) and cyber risk reporting aligned to NIST, CIS, and PCI. We help large enterprises move from manual reporting to continuous, defensible, and repeatable metrics and insights so teams can act faster to address gaps that reduce risk. Job Description: DataBee is seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) to serve as a critical bridge between product, engineering, and go‑to‑market teams. This role is ideal for a technically oriented professional with 3–5 years of experience in the technology or cybersecurity space who enjoys translating complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling market messaging. You will act as a technical storyteller and market translator, deeply understanding DataBee’s platform—its architecture, data foundations, and differentiators—and conveying that value to a wide range of audiences, from highly technical practitioners to executive stakeholders. This role blends hands‑on technical depth with thought leadership, positioning, and enablement, and is best described as similar to a Sales Engineer, but for Marketing.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical marketing role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong background in cyber risk
  • Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Hands‑on experience with SaaS platforms, cloud environments, APIs, or data platforms
  • Strong writing and presentation skills with an eye for storytelling and clarity
  • Experience using AI responsibly and effectively for research and content creation at scale
  • Comfort working cross‑functionally in a fast‑moving, product‑driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cyber compliance, or GRC (or adjacent cybersecurity domains)
  • Familiarity with cloud and data technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, data pipelines, analytics platforms)
  • Prior experience in technical marketing, sales engineering, or solutions engineering
  • Experience engaging with CISOs, compliance leaders, or executive stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical liaison across engineering, product, marketing, and customer‑facing teams
  • Partner closely with product and engineering to understand the “tech under the hood”, including how DataBee delivers outcomes and differentiates from competitors
  • Develop technical marketing content, including white papers, solution briefs, technical guides, blogs, demos, and videos
  • Translate deep technical concepts into clear, accessible messaging that can be consumed by any target audience, from engineers to CISOs and executives
  • Provide thought leadership on what DataBee brings to market and how we articulate our technical expertise and value proposition
  • Support sales and go‑to‑market teams with technical narratives, positioning, FAQs, and customer‑ready materials
  • Work cross‑functionally with engineering, product, and customer‑facing teams on a day‑to‑day basis
  • Conduct market and competitive intelligence within the cybersecurity and broader technology landscape
  • Represent DataBee externally as a technical voice in webinars, events, analyst discussions, and selected customer meetings
  • Gather feedback from the field and relay insights back to product and marketing to influence roadmap and messaging
  • Minimal travel (approximately 10–15%), primarily for team offsites and occasional customer or industry events within the U.S.

Benefits

  • Work on a product that directly impacts how organizations understand and manage cyber risk
  • Influence product positioning at the intersection of security, compliance, and data
  • Collaborate with passionate, highly technical teams shaping the future of security analytics
