Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, marketing, engineering or Product Management preferred.
  • Experience in the medical device industry with experience in thermoplastic extrusions, silicone extrusions, molding, dip casting, sheeting, and device assembly.
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen and technical competency.
  • Strong excel and powerpoint skills.
  • Ability to present strategy to leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence across cross functional departments.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (50%).

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and bring to market precision extrusions, molded components and assemblies for minimally invasive device applications.
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions.
  • Impact creation and implementation of the global product strategy, including pricing, promotion, and forecasting new items.
  • Direct new business development teams towards opportunities and support the sales organization in securing new opportunities.
  • Define product line pricing and positioning strategy.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications on promotion of the product lines.
  • Work closely with sales organization and lead Subject Matter Experts (SME) to secure new business.
  • Determine target markets, customer segmentation and target customers.
  • Create and implement product line strategy to grow business and develop new opportunities.
  • Manage all pricing actions, including pricing analytics and margin improvement.
  • Manage product and customer portfolio via 80/20 and margin velocity reviews.
  • Prepare business cases to support product line strategy and investments.
  • Own the product development strategy and be a key stakeholder in the intake process.
  • Collaborate with technical and operations teams to create promotional content.
  • Develop competitive intelligence and counter strategies.
  • Align business needs with operations and supply chain.
  • P&L accountability for specific market segment.
  • Collaborate with sales team in development of annual plan and quarterly forecasts.
  • Accompany sales team on strategic customer visits or presentations.
  • Attend trade shows and industry symposiums.
  • Conduct market research to determine market size, identify trends, and analyze competitive landscape.
