Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: Leading technical linear infrastructure designs and preparation of contract documents for municipal and industrial clients, including planning, execution and close-out. Assisting in the development of design concepts and criteria, analysis and design approach/methodologies, alternative design evaluations and constructability reviews. Preparation of detailed design calculations; engineering computation/technical reports; construction plans and specifications for projects with medium to high levels of complexity; and QA/QC and value engineering reviews of same. Performing bid phase and construction phase services. Supporting business development proposal creation, project estimating and planning. Coordination and mentoring of technical staff and oversight of project teams, in collaboration with other Project Managers and those with People Management responsibilities. Involvement in technical societies and associations to stay current with engineering standards and practices and emerging technologies

Requirements

• BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience (demonstrated expertise accepted) with technical proficiency in water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure design, including gravity pipeline design, pressure pipeline design and pipeline rehabilitation utilizing trenchless technologies.
• Proficiency in understanding Federal, State, and local environmental regulations and how they apply to our Municipal and Industrial clients.
• Knowledge and experience with major national and industrial engineering design codes, standards, guidelines, and best practices needed for design of complex structures and projects.
• PE license in VA, DC and/or MD required with ability to obtain multiple licenses through reciprocity.
