About The Position

We are seeking a strategic, technically accomplished Functional Manager/Expert Lead Integrator to drive enterprise-level integration efforts supporting Government system and capability development. In this role, you will coordinate contract engineering activities across organizational boundaries, lead enterprise engineering and integration planning, and resolve complex cross-functional issues to ensure mission success. This will be both a technical and managerial role. You will work directly with Government Office and Division Chiefs to prioritize initiatives, align resources, and deliver high-impact results across IT and systems engineering environments.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM discipline — or equivalent expert-level experience as a Lead Integrator.
  • Expert-level, 18+ years' of experience in engineering, design, and analysis of IT or related systems across all phases of design, development, analysis, documentation, and standards development.
  • Expert-level, 18+ years' of experience in Government or industry supporting DoD/IC Acquisition processes or PPBES.
  • Experience leading/managing technical teams.
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.

  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages.
  • Experience modernizing organizations through Digital Engineering concepts and methodologies.
  • Experience executing digital twin initiatives.
  • Experience integrating solutions leveraging structured and unstructured Big Data.

  • Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or DoD programs, including experience with NGA and/or NSG/ASG mission environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and synchronize organizational resources to achieve program objectives while improving IT engineering and architectural processes for greater performance and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze user needs and technical requirements to assess feasibility, risk, and implementation strategies for cloud and development initiatives.
  • Refine and streamline workflows to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including analysts, engineers, programmers, integrators, and architects—to develop scalable business process solutions.
  • Support cloud-related business case development and guide the transition from paper-based processes to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) artifacts.
  • Drive enterprise planning for engineering and integration activities across complex system environments.
  • Lead issue identification, escalation, and resolution across stakeholders and mission partners.
  • Provide functional leadership to engineering personnel, including performance management, merit planning, recognition, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Lead staffing and recruitment efforts by developing position descriptions, creating staffing plans, partnering with Talent Acquisition, evaluating candidates, and supporting hiring decisions.
  • Mentor and develop engineering staff through coaching, performance reviews, and structured goal setting.
  • Implement retention strategies and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • Approve timesheets and expense reports while ensuring accountability and compliance.
  • Promote strong interpersonal relationships, effective communication, and conflict resolution across teams and stakeholders.
