About The Position

The Technical Librarian at KBR is responsible for managing the overall operation of a technical/business library or resource center. This role involves the acquisition, circulation, cataloging, and research of technical resources, ensuring that users have access to the necessary information for various technical projects and proposal preparations. The position plays a crucial role in enhancing library services and maintaining quality control in resource management, contributing to national security solutions.

Requirements

• Associate degree in library science, Information Science, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in managing a technical library or similar resources.
• Strong organizational and IT skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
• Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
• Clearance: Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical resources, including books, journals, and electronic media.
• Catalog and maintain technical documents and archives.
• Assist users in finding technical resources and provide research assistance.
• Implement and manage library management systems and databases.
• Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.
• Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.
• Other duties as required.
