What Impact You'll Make: The Capex Execution team is responsible for accelerating, with safety, quality, and focus, capacity growth across the Gas Value Stream. The organization consists of 3 workstreams; Fulfilment, Installation, and Qualification; all working together to create Standard Work and Daily Management to enable success. The Qualification team works cross functionally with Design Engineering, Materials Process Engineering, and Global Supply Chain to ensure that qualifications are completed with the highest quality and in time to meet business needs. The Technical Leader for Greenville will serve as the focal for the GVL-based qualification engineers. The role requires a passion for mentoring, quality, lean, and standard work creation and adherence. This job involves two main elements: 1) Serving as the technical focal for the GVL team: structured mentoring/training/1:1s for the team, escalation to leadership, occasional leadership delegate. 2) Working as a Qualification engineer to lead and drive qualifications Job Description What you'll do: This position requires strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills as well as a passion for quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Operations Management, or other Supply Chain related studies
  • At least 7 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Eligibility Requirement This position is 100% onsite at our Greenville facility.
  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government export restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and protected individuals (e.g., certain refugees and asylees)). GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

  • Creating Qualification standards in alignment with Global Supply Chain and Engineering
  • Apply knowledge of qualification process and GVL manufacturing operations to implement new ideas that enhance the qualification process, reduce cost, and add value.
  • Attending/Facilitating Kaizens and Roadmaps to support the capacity ramp
  • Mentoring for the team
  • Leading qualifications from inception to closure
  • Identifying and implement qualification cost out opportunities
  • Regional, and in some cases, global: shop support
  • Cultivating positive working environment and morale; drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed
  • Ensuring the team delivers change that has business impact
