About The Position

Versar is currently seeking a Technical Lead to join our team. This position will serve as the primary technical subject matter expert (SME) for the program. Must become familiar with the customers design specifications for Electronic Security Systems (ESS), Physical Access Control System (PACS), Video Management Systems (VMS), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), IP Intercoms and System Network. Also responsible for support of the program, to include identifying non-covered repairs, proposing alternatives to the customer approved product list and all other items requiring an engineered solution in support of customer service requests.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience installation/integration and repair and maintenance related functions of electronic security systems (ESS), video management systems (VMS), intrusion (IDS) and intercom.
  • manufacturers certified on the Hirsch Velocity, Bosch BVMS, Bosch IDS, and Commend Intercom platforms.
  • Must have solid verbal and written reporting experience
  • Outstanding team working skills are a must
  • Able to pass extensive gov't background check and drug test.
  • Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, and MVR.

Responsibilities

  • Be knowledgeable of contract scope as it applies to ESS.
  • Knowledge of customer specifications and standards.
  • Knowledge of customer approved product list.
  • Knowledge of various customer systems integrations and ability to troubleshoot to resolve issues.
  • Provide remote and onsite technical support to technical staff as required.
  • Support for all repair, preventive maintenance, inventory and installation-related functions performed under the contract remotely or onsite as required.
  • Ability to use a customer provided computerized maintenance management system to create, assign, and track work orders.
  • Support management in developing and implementing facility specific operations, maintenance processes and test procedures as required
  • Make recommendations to ensure performance to standards are achieved
  • Support an inventory strategy that ensures adequate supplies are available to support routine preventive maintenance including long lead items
  • Provides direction, development, and coaching to technical staff.
  • Supports the preparation of proposals in response to site-specific RFPs.
  • Support Service Manager with contractors, architects, engineers, regulatory agencies, material and equipment suppliers, and other parties as required
  • Provide accurate reports and documentation for daily activities as well as monthly reports for submission to the Service Manager.
  • Conduct inspections of assigned work areas for completed projects to ensure work meets company standards as required.
  • Ability to walk, stand for extended periods of time, carry equipment, climb ladders and lift a minimum of 30lbs.
