The work: Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Technical Lead - Web Application 100% Remote to drive the design, development, and modernization of cloud‑native web applications that support advanced meteorological visualization. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, guide architectural decisions, and deliver scalable, high‑performance solutions using AWS and modern web technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of web application development experience
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
  • Strong understanding of web application security best practices and experience with web‑based data visualization libraries and techniques
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and cloud‑native design patterns
  • Experience serving as a technical lead or leading engineering teams
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
  • US Citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or scientific/meteorological application experience
  • Geospatial or GIS visualization experience
  • WebGL/Canvas or advanced rendering expertise
  • Familiarity with GRIB, NetCDF, or similar formats
  • Cloud‑native modernization background and AWS certifications
  • Experience with real‑time data, microservices, or containers
  • Accessibility knowledge and Generative AI development workflows

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of AWS‑based web applications
  • Define architecture, technology choices, and coding standards
  • Build high‑performance UI components using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
  • Implement strategies for processing and visualizing large meteorological datasets
  • Oversee rendering and performance for advanced browser‑based visualizations
  • Collaborate with UX, meteorologists, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Mentor engineers, lead reviews, and resolve complex technical issues
