Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) provides expert, compassionate, and equitable care to children, adults, and their families, while advancing the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, cure, and prevention of cancer and related diseases. We train new generations of clinicians and scientists, disseminate innovative patient therapies and scientific discoveries around the world, and reduce the impact of cancer, while maintaining a focus on those communities who have been historically marginalized. The Informatics and Analytics department (I&A) serves patients, present and future, by enabling, improving, and transforming DFCI research, patient care, and operations through excellence in informatics and analytics. The successful candidate will manage the application of our research technology platform and services, build and maintain collaborative relationships with research faculty, coordinate strategic initiatives to enhance the functionality and accessibility of DFCI's computational cloud resources and information technology platforms. This position will report to the Technical Director of Research Computing Services. The role requires a strong technical background with hands-on experience developing solution architectures for cloud technologies (Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services) with a focus on Microsoft’s Azure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively in a research-focused multidisciplinary environment and lead a team of cloud engineers and architects who will provide cloud engineering services to DFCI clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud services, and security best practices (including appropriate certification(s)), and will develop, document, and promulgate cloud best practices across the I&A department and our DFCI clients.
