About The Position

L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems is seeking a Technical Lead Software Engineer. Responsibilities include leading a software development team, analyzing requirements and the translation of requirements into working and maintainable solutions, planning the development, developing innovative architectures, tracking teams' status, measuring teams work performed and utilizing agile techniques to maximize the reuse of commercial software capabilities. The selected candidate will apply technical proficiency across various stages of our SDLC, gather requirements, and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and scope tasks. The selected candidate will be working as a lead team member on a Scrum team and will be instrumental in setting our direction and strategy for product and infrastructure development.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship eligible for a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience debugging application and cloud-based applications
  • Usage of Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service technologies, such as VMWare, OpenShift, or similar
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Agile Scrum Practices
  • Experience developing device drivers and software for integrated communication systems
  • Experience with commercial telephony software packages, such as Asterisk
  • Experience with implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) security control across application software

  • Developing software test plans and procedures
  • Participating in peer reviews and tracking defects
