Requirements

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline and 5 years’ experience in solution architecture and technical leadership; or 9 years’ experience in solution architecture and technical leadership
  • Travel – domestic and international (20%, possibly on short notice)

  • Excellent experience with demonstrated expertise in digital platforms and system design.
  • Excellent experience in designing scalable, secure, and robust technical architecture.
  • Excellent proficiency in creating architecture diagrams, flowcharts, and Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) to visualize the solution.
  • Excellent experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipeline configuration.
  • Excellent skill designing modular codebases, micro-frontends, or mono-repos that support team growth and long-term maintainability.
  • Excellent skill designing the interface between frontend and backend systems, including RESTful API interactions and data synchronization
  • Excellent track record in managing technical projects, including budget oversight and delivery within established timelines.
  • Excellent ability to align technical strategies with overall business objectives to drive organizational success.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in managing diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship-building across teams.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and technical excellence.
  • Strong competence in SQL/NoSQL database design, optimization, and data integrity.
  • Strong understanding of React.js, Angular, or Vue, including their ecosystems for state management (e.g., Redux) and component lifecycles.
  • Strong capability in relevant languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, C#).
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • German language fluency - verbally and written desired.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the technical architecture of our customer and partner engagement platform, ensuring it meets business objectives and technical standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions that enhance user experience and drive platform adoption.
  • Align technical strategies with business goals, working with multi-disciplinary teams across different products in a global setup
  • Design solutions that are scalable and secure, addressing potential risks and ensuring long-term platform viability
  • Work closely with product management, development, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive technical implementation.
  • Continuously assess system performance and implement improvements to enhance user experience and platform efficiency.
  • Promote best practices in software architecture and development to ensure high-quality technical solutions.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for technical initiatives.
  • Promote a safety and compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct
  • Perform special assignments as required
