Technical Lead – Natural Gas

About The Position

This fast-paced role includes intaking a continuous stream of natural gas distribution and transmission projects and delegate tasks to the team. You will be responsible to accomplish complex projects yourself as you manage an assigned workload. Projects are primarily natural gas distribution and transmission projects. Interconnect work will be the majority of the work on the transmission side. Types of projects range from modifying and updating or replacing existing gas mains or developing a brand new main for a subdivision. It all depends on the projects coming in.

Requirements

3-6 years engineering and design experience leading natural gas design projects.
Technical Mechanical or Civil Engineer or related Engineering Degree with design experience working in natural gas
Professional Engineer or (PE Eligible)
Project Manager (PMP desired, not required)
Natural Gas Design (RNG) Biogas and/or Hydrogen design
Experience working with natural gas utilities, such as Nicor, NSG or others
Familiar with and understand Sidwell maps and land rights
Hands on AutoCAD design experience and understanding of AutoCAD etiquette.
Utilize AutoCAD to design and review pipeline designs of others, having the ability to understand civil plans and existing vs proposed design conditions (this position is not responsible for creating civil plans)
Attuned to drafting standards and design plan requirements
Able to train and lead a team of drafters and/or engineers
