About The Position

We're seeking a mission-aligned Tech Lead to help build and improve our products. As a hands-on technical leader, you'll play a crucial role in architecting and developing data-driven solutions. This position combines technical expertise with leadership skills to advance our technology vision. This is a Hybrid role with a minimum of 3 in-office days in our Hayward office.

Requirements

BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
8+ years of software engineering experience
Strong understanding of regulated environments (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST)
Experience with relational databases (MySQL)
Proficiency in RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Experience with Atlassian toolset and Agile development methodologies
Proven track record managing distributed development teams
Active problem solver with a "figure it out" mindset
Clear and proactive communicator
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to balance technical leadership with hands-on development
Passion for mentoring and growing engineering talent

Healthcare industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

Lead software development initiatives while maintaining hands-on involvement
Architect and develop data-producing/consuming software solutions
Ensure high-quality deliverables through well-designed, maintainable, and unit-tested code
Support distributed web applications in a complex, evolving environment
Manage the entire application lifecycle from design to monitoring
Collaborate across departments to align technical solutions with business goals
