About The Position
Atria is a membership-based preventive health care practice delivering cutting-edge primary and specialty care in New York, South Florida, Los Angeles (2026), and through 24/7 telemedicine globally. Our multi-specialty team of 60+ top in-house physicians provides proactive, preventive, and precision-based care for Atria members and their families. We aim to optimize lifespan and healthspan through meticulous screening, leading-edge therapeutics, and tailored interventions designed to prevent disease and detect it at the earliest possible stages. Each member's care is led by a dedicated Chief Medical Officer who collaborates with specialists in cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, women's health, endocrinology, integrative health, performance and movement, nutrition, and more. Through our nonprofit Atria Research Institute and Public Health Institute, we also work to accelerate the translation of medical breakthroughs and expand access to preventive care for as many people as possible. Atria Health is seeking a Technical Lead for our DevOps team to drive engineering excellence across our infrastructure, SDLC, and observability domains. This senior individual contributor role is responsible for leading the technical direction of our DevOps team, including mentoring engineers and day-to-day execution, and partnering with domain product teams (Clinical Experience, Member Experience, and Care Delivery) to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure systems. You'll own complex infrastructure initiatives from design through implementation while establishing best practices that elevate the entire engineering organization.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years focused on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
- Deep experience with cloud platforms (GCP strongly preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable)
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform
- Strong experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and influence without direct authority
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences
Nice To Haves
- Experience in healthcare technology or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with our backend stack (Node, TypeScript, Express)
- Experience building and scaling observability platforms
- Track record of improving developer experience and deployment velocity
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical vision for DevOps practices across the organization
- Lead architecture decisions for infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud resources
- Serve as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure challenges
- Conduct design reviews and provide guidance on reliability, security, and scalability
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, safe deployments
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability systems
- Drive incident response processes and lead post-mortems to improve system resilience
- Partner with product engineering teams to understand their infrastructure needs and translate them into scalable solutions
- Work closely with Security to implement and maintain compliance and security best practices
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership on capacity planning and technical roadmaps
- Mentor and coach DevOps engineers, fostering growth and technical development
- Establish and document DevOps standards, runbooks, and best practices
