About The Position

Advanced Acoustic Concepts, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Thales Defense & Security Inc., is a technical leader in the fields of sonar systems, sonar signal processing, acoustic training systems, and open architecture system and software integration. The venture focuses on emerging areas in the undersea warfare domain where the customer has identified mission-critical needs. The company has multiple openings for 2025 Summer Engineering Interns in Great River, NY. The internships are for up to 6 weeks. The Summer Engineering Intern will work closely with and assist engineers in conducting various engineering assignments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program in Computer, Cybersecurity, Cybercrime or Software
• Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn

Responsibilities

• Conduct limited scope engineering work under the supervision of engineers in one or more of the following areas: Cybersecurity Strategies, Cybercrime Strategies
• Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the company and also learn new things
• Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
• Completing assigned tasks on time
• Gather and assemble data for engineers
• May be required to help in research in a particular field
• Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers
• Assist engineers with appropriate design details
• Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
• Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Benefits

• The pay range of this position is $20.00/hr. - 24.00/hr.
• AAC works on a 9/80 compressed schedule whereby employees work 80 hours in 2 weeks with every other Friday off.
