About The Position

PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 Technical Intern for the Gas Construction PMO. This job involves working as a technical intern for large-scale gas infrastructure capital upgrade projects. This position will be Onsite. The Gas Construction department is responsible for the planning and execution of large-scale capital gas infrastructure upgrade projects as part of Gas System Modernization Program, as well as other programs of work. The team is responsible for work planning, resource allocation, municipal/county/state permitting, contractor management, mobile crew and service mechanic oversight, completion of all required documentation, final restoration, reporting etc. The technical intern will provide support for the final restoration (milling and paving) and analytical reporting day to day activities as well as learn various aspects the Gas Construction/Project Management business.

Requirements

  • The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or Project Management and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
  • Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026.
  • PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
  • Incumbents must have completed freshman level course work for consideration.
  • Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required
  • Some positions at PSEG require access to information covered by the Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 (Part 810). Responsibilities

  • Evaluating Gas Construction projects for proposed mill and pave plan.
  • Reading construction drawings.
  • Reviewing/auditing paving and project management documentation and processes.
  • Visit job sites throughout the service territory.
  • Assist with process improvement through participation in team and project meetings.
  • Assist with restoration invoice processing and documentation.
  • Coordinate resources with contractors, districts etc.
  • Assist with the monthly forecasting process.
