Requirements

  • Current certifications in one or more of the following: CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+
  • Prior experience in technical instruction or CTT certification
  • Strong skills in student mentoring, coaching, and communication
  • Ability to deliver training across multiple formats (onsite, virtual, informal)
  • Familiarity with certification paths, career relevance, and IT job markets.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Instructional Design or Project Management
  • A strong analytical mindset with the ability to tailor instruction to diverse learner needs
  • Comfortable working with IT equipment and preparing technical environments
  • A team-first attitude and passion for student achievement and lifelong learning.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-impact training in various modalities including onsite classroom, informal coaching, and online instruction.
  • Facilitate hands-on labs and study sessions to reinforce critical technical skills.
  • Prepare instructional materials such as handouts, manuals, and digital content that align with certification standards.
  • Create and maintain a supportive learning environment, both in-person and online.
  • Coach and mentor students toward certification readiness (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+).
  • Monitor learner progress, provide individualized support, and intervene early to prevent student drop-off.
  • Maintain accurate records of student development, participation, and progress toward exam goals.
  • Offer performance feedback and facilitate additional support when needed.
  • Analyze training needs and identify skill gaps among learners.
  • Design, adapt, and update curriculum to meet evolving industry requirements.
  • Align learning content with the demands of today’s IT job market and real-world scenarios.
  • Evaluate instructional effectiveness and modify delivery methods as necessary.
  • Partner with fellow instructors to share best practices and ensure instructional consistency.
  • Liaise with external partners and certifying bodies to ensure training aligns with industry standards.
  • Coordinate with academic support and student services to elevate the learner experience.
  • Use performance metrics and feedback to continuously improve instruction quality.
  • Help increase certification attempt and pass rates by delivering content aligned with exam objectives.
  • Promote student accountability and foster a culture of learning and professional growth.
  • Contribute to a data-driven training strategy that maximizes learner success.
