About The Position

UNRWA is a United Nations agency established by the General Assembly in 1949 and is mandated to provide assistance and protection to a population of some 5.8 million registered Palestine refugees. Its mission is to help Palestine refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, West Bank and the Gaza Strip to achieve their full potential in human development, pending a just solution to their plight. UNRWA's services encompass education, health care, relief and social services, camp infrastructure and improvement, microfinance, and emergency assistance. The incumbent is responsible to the assigned Deputy Principal of Training Centre through the appropriate Senior Vocational Training Instructor (Fine Arts).

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and develops the subject of specialization
  • Ensures the proper implementation of the subject syllabus and the evaluation of its effectiveness under the direction of the supervisors concerned
  • Coordinates the teaching of the subject with subjects taught by other Instructors
  • Maintains records and controls different supplies of the section and ensures proper utilization of the facilities and equipment
  • Participates in co-curricular activities in the Centre and in different summer courses whenrequired
  • Participates with other staff members in maintaining order and discipline in the Center
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned
