About The Position

The Technical Information Specialist position at the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) involves responding to complex inquiries related to drug trafficking and law enforcement. Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• For GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-09 level.
• For GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 level.
• Ability to read and comprehend non-technical material in one or more foreign languages is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in database administration.

Responsibilities

• Respond to a full range of complex inquiries from DEA, FBI, ICE, and local law enforcement.
• Convey findings through written and oral reports, abstracts, summaries, charts, and graphs.
• Organize and coordinate assignments involving complex and novel problems.
• Identify areas for improvement in established methods and develop new information sources.
• Perform detailed analysis and evaluations of requests.
• Input, extract, and manage data stored in a multi-dimensional database system.
• Prepare reports, analyses, and other documents related to information and research efforts.
• Present findings and recommendations on complex issues impacting established programs.
