CenterPoint Energy is seeking a Technical Field Operations Supervisor to join our Indiana & Ohio Natural Gas Operations Team. This role is pivotal in supervising the daily activities of craft personnel involved in critical operations such as leak surveys, cathodic protection, regulation, odorization, and measurement. The supervisor will ensure that all maintenance and capital improvement projects are executed in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, thereby maintaining the safety and reliability of our natural gas services. In this position, you will oversee the technical field operations (TFO) in various areas, ensuring that all activities comply with regulatory standards. You will be responsible for conducting proactive and reactive inspections, troubleshooting issues, and directing the daily activities of both company and contract personnel. This includes ensuring that annual performance reviews are completed, scheduling necessary training, and equipping employees to perform their assigned tasks effectively. Additionally, you will maintain departmental records to ensure compliance, perform administrative duties such as managing timesheets, ordering equipment, and reviewing field reports. You will also support the creation and implementation of maintenance plans to meet regulatory requirements and assist in developing and managing capital and expense budgets. Your role will involve negotiating contracts for services and ensuring timely completion of projects while processing invoices and managing work orders. The Technical Field Operations Supervisor will also play a key role in evaluating new technologies and integrating them into work processes. You will interact with Operations and Engineering teams to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, provide emergency response resources, and support special projects related to system maintenance and upgrades. Ensuring a safe work environment is paramount, and you will actively participate in the CSAFE program to promote safety within your team.
