The following position is to join our Global Security Services (GSS) team: RTX is seeking a Cybersecurity Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Global Security Services (GSS), working across all RTX business and product areas. The candidate must exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness; and will apply and develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts. They will be viewed within the company and the customer community as an expert in Cybersecurity. The Cybersecurity SME will assume a key technical leadership and advisory role to the Government Security Compliance organization. They will have frequent interaction with program customers and will need to be cognizant of business execution as they craft Cybersecurity roadmaps that align with strategic direction and policy requirements.

  • Strategically lead and shape Cybersecurity within the Government Security Compliance team of RTX Global Security Services.
  • Shape customer solicitations within the cybersecurity technology area.
  • Apply and develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts.
  • Exhibit fine-tuned communication and presentation skills to interface with senior level executives at RTX and with high level Government Customers.
  • Travel as needed to other business locations to provide necessary cyber security support.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology or a related field and at least 12 years' related experience.
  • Successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a current Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Strong background and proven track record in Cybersecurity execution, managing customer requirements, and have served in key technical leadership positions.
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers and management teams including conducting briefings and technical meetings for management and customer representatives.
  • Comprehensive understanding of security architecture, security engineering solutions, deployments and accreditation.
  • Proven success as a Cybersecurity leader, developing complex systems solutions within a Cyber, Intelligence and Security environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Risk Management Framework and Program Protection policies, procedures, processes, and requirements including the use of Risk Management tools and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in matrix environment including working collaboratively with multiple teams across agencies and physical locations.
  • Strong communication skills, written, oral and listening skills; strong business acumen and a keen business perspective; ability to think logically and strategically.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and independently with individuals at various levels including the leadership team, and customers.
  • Solid understanding of Systems Engineering Industry Best Practices and other business processes.
  • Highly proficient in evaluating the security posture of Network and System environments, and providing corrective recommendations.
  • Experience with commercial-off-the-shelf security technologies and trusted products.
  • Experience using security-relevant tools and devices for security auditing, network security, host/server security, communication security, and policy management.
  • Requires advanced industry recognized professional cybersecurity certifications.
  • Currently have a DoD 8570.01-M IASAE level III certified credentials (ISSAP, ISSEP, CCSP etc.).
  • Advanced Degree(s) (M.S. and above) in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology or a related field strongly preferred and at least 10 years' related experience.
