About The Position

As a Frontend Technical Lead on the Growth team, you will own the frontend architecture and user experience for our customer-facing conversion and engagement surfaces. You’ll lead 3–6 engineers through multi-month projects, balancing hands-on frontend development with architectural leadership. Your work will directly impact conversion rates, onboarding flows, and the quality of our web experience — partnering with Product, Design, and Marketing to run rapid experiments and make data-informed decisions that drive measurable growth.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years focused on frontend development.
  • Deep proficiency in TypeScript, React (or equivalent modern framework), and modern CSS/styling approaches.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, web accessibility (WCAG), and frontend performance optimization.
  • Experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems.
  • Proficiency with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines for frontend deployments.
  • Proven track record of leading small-to-medium teams to deliver high-quality, customer-facing web applications.
  • Clear communicator comfortable presenting to both technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the frontend architecture for Growth surfaces — landing pages, onboarding flows, conversion funnels, and personalization layers.
  • Champion a component-driven design system with modular, testable patterns that support A/B testing, feature flagging, and rapid experimentation.
  • Drive frontend performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, bundle size, rendering) as a lever for conversion and engagement.
  • Partner with Design, Product, and Marketing to scope experiments, translate mockups into accessible implementations, and prioritize conversion improvements.
  • Translate technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders and use written documentation to drive alignment on architectural decisions.
  • Remain hands-on: write and review frontend code daily in TypeScript/React, with supporting work in Python or Ruby for API integration.
  • Own the experimentation pipeline — build and instrument A/B tests, analyze results, and iterate on winning variants.
  • Provide accurate milestone estimates, monitor progress against schedules, and proactively communicate risks to stakeholders.
  • Mentor engineers on frontend best practices, component design, accessibility, and the business context of their work.
  • Lead frontend design reviews independently and establish standards for code quality, performance budgets, and testing coverage.
