About The Position

The Technical Electrician position at Mondelez International involves performing electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, the ability to work with various electronic control devices, and compliance with safety and operational standards. The electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety in the plant.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Understanding of Basic Electronics.
  • Basic Electrician/Electronic Technician skills, including knowledge of AB and TI PLCs, temperature control, PID loops, RTDs, TC's, pressure level, humidity/moisture, pH, electronic scales, and photoelectric sensors.
  • PC skills for replacing and reconfiguring personal computers used in process applications.
  • Experience in installing and maintaining motors, motor control circuits, VFD drives, and 480v power distribution.
  • At least 2-4 years of manufacturing experience as a hands-on Electrician or successful completion of an approved Apprenticeship Program.
  • 2-year associate degree or equivalent knowledge in PLC and basic electronics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties in compliance with plant rules and practices regarding safety, conduct, sanitation, and good housekeeping.
  • Become knowledgeable with basic electronic control devices for installation and terminations without damage to equipment.
  • Demonstrate proper use and care of testing equipment including meters, probes, calibration instruments, and PLC programs.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment to diagnose electrical problems and service electrical motors.
  • Lay out and install power, light, and electrical control systems without drawings, including conduit runs and rigging for cable pulls.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of electrical circuits in assigned areas, including interlocking sequences and electrical distribution systems.
  • Calibrate measuring equipment and track calibrations, handling follow-ups on corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide technical assistance and resolution for electrical problems encountered.
  • Assemble and maintain electrical and electronic systems according to engineering data and electrical principles using hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Install and maintain electrical control systems and equipment, correcting functional deviations as necessary.
  • Set up and operate test equipment or PLC program monitoring to evaluate performance of equipment under operating conditions and record results.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to identify, define, and solve problems related to electrical systems.
  • Analyze and interpret information to resolve operating or design-related problems.
  • Evaluate and utilize shop electrical drawings for troubleshooting practices.
  • Understand methods and sequences of operations for troubleshooting and testing processing equipment.
