Make a difference with us at WestLand! WestLand is adding a Technical Editor to our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and editing technical documents and helping to coach other team members in report writing and document creation with a focus on clear and concise writing practices. This position may be located out of our Phoenix or Tucson office.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a related field (English, communications, or similar program). Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience specializing in document production and/or technical editing.
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office 360 (Word), Adobe Acrobat and other PDF tools, and other software related to document productions.
  • Highly effective communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects with competing stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with AutoCAD and/or GIS documents considered an asset.
  • Experience working with a wide range of diverse clients.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, formatting, and editing scientific and technical documents.
  • Providing document writers with feedback (redlines and comments) to improve clarity and make sure documents are created with the intended audience in mind.
  • Coordinating projects and priorities across multiple Cultural Resource teams.
  • Managing documents including endnote citations and quality assurance compliance.
  • Organizing, maintaining, and recording project submittal files.
