Develops, writes, and edits material for standard and custom operation and maintenance manuals and other technical documentation for test chambers and ovens for the Tenney, Lunaire, Gruenberg and Blue M brands by performing the following duties: Observes production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail. Interviews production and engineering personnel and reads reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods. Reviews manufacturer's and trade catalogs, drawings, and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment. Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mock-ups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail. Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. Selects photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material. Photograph equipment in various stages of assembly, test, and final / ready-to-ship layout in order to construct manuals. Photographs must be used together with Solid Works and / or AutoCad drawings when applicable. Prepares or arranges for preparation of index and lays out material for publication. Maintains records and files of work and revisions and looks for ways to streamline the assembly of future manuals and other technical documentation by using existing information and templates. Arranges for formatting, reproduction, storage, distribution and ongoing maintenance of material so it is available to internal and external customers. Reviews previously published materials of standard products for accuracy; recommends revisions and updates accordingly. Generates Process Validation documents such as FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ. Collaborates with Engineering, Test, and Project Management departments to assure accuracy and on-time delivery. Provides ongoing document support to internal and external customers until project completion. Support Customer Service Department for technical information typically found or related to an Operation Manual.
