About The Position

Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, is looking to hire a Technical Director to lead a technical team and oversee the production, fielding, and sustainment national security systems. You’ll be supporting a pivotal mission to help innovate and deliver advanced technologies that ensure a bright future for our armed forces. As part of our team, you'll get to leverage your skills and expertise to oversee engineering efforts for new cyber hunt kits that are deployed across the Department of War, preserving and protecting our nation's most critical systems. You may occasionally travel (CONUS or OCONUS) for events with our end customers at their locations. Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
  • 20+ years of progressive professional experience
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or Mathematics; or 24+ years of progressive professional experience without a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and directing technical teams on national security or DoD programs, including setting priorities, managing personnel, and overseeing engineering execution.
  • Direct experience with Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), including knowledge of DCO mission frameworks, threat hunting methodologies, and cyber defense system design.
  • Software development experience, either hands-on or through direct oversight of software engineering efforts on classified programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer requirements into system engineering plans and executable technical deliverables.
  • Experience managing contracts, budgets, and cross-functional teams in a government or DoD contractor environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to brief technical and executive-level audiences clearly and concisely.
  • Experience supporting USCYBERCOM or other Combatant Command cyber programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cybersecurity, either security product development and/or security operations tools like Elastic, Splunk, Security Onion, etc.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or Mathematics.
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GIAC GCDA, GCTI, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms, including Splunk or ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack implementation and optimization.
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and its application to DCO analytics, threat detection, and incident response workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and hybrid on-premise/cloud architectures supporting national security systems.
  • Previous experience recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing technical teams in a cleared contractor environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and leadership for the JCHK program, overseeing all engineering activities from development through fielding and sustainment of DCO systems.
  • Direct and mentor a team of engineers, establishing priorities, scope, and execution strategy to meet program and mission requirements.
  • Oversee design, development, and integration of cyber hunt kits and related capabilities, ensuring alignment with DoD customer requirements and operational objectives.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface with government customers and program stakeholders, translating mission needs into system requirements and engineering deliverables.
  • Lead architectural and technical decision-making across the full system lifecycle, including hardware, software, and network components.
  • Monitor and assess the health of deployed systems; drive continuous improvement through operational feedback and emerging threat intelligence.
  • Support DCO mission planning activities, applying deep knowledge of threat hunting, incident response, and network defense to inform technical priorities.
  • Manage funding, contract oversight, and performance metrics for engineering efforts supporting JCHK program objectives.
  • Author and review operational, strategic, and technical documentation including system requirements, engineering plans, and program status reports.
  • Travel CONUS and OCONUS as needed to engage directly with end customers and support program activities at mission partner locations (up to 10%).
