CLA is growing and seeking to hire a Technical Director to join our Gift, Estate and Trust (GET) tax team. The Technical Director contributes at the highest level in their industry and excels at client advisory, service advocacy, relationship development, and leadership. This role is highly specialized and focuses on technical quality, compliance, and methodology. How you’ll create opportunities in this Tax Technical Director role: Serve clients in a high impact manner, demonstrating command of gift and estate matters Demonstrate deep technical skills. Excel at engagement management and operational excellence. Support our national team with complex gift and estate reviews, consultation and planning Lead engagement teams and provide technical instruction. Manage client relationships and engagement metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • 10 years of experience serving in a tax role required
  • CPA certification. JD or EA (Enrolled Agent) may be accepted in lieu of CPA certification required
  • Deep technical knowledge of gift and estate tax, including compliance and consulting.

  • Experience mentoring and developing associates/seniors from a technical and career perspective preferred.
