Data is the latest, critical infrastructure. The creation, storage, sharing, usage, archiving, and deletion of data is integral to our existence in the modern world. In fact, the United Nations has deemed access to the internet as a basic human right. The impact to our built environment spans a wide array of project types and scale. Industry and government have designed sixteen critical sectors where data plays an elemental role in the development, communication, processing, and storage of our vast amounts of data. From command-and-control centers to hyperscale data center campuses and a range of project types in-between; Gensler’s Baltimore office is expanding our critical facilities services and is looking for a technically proficient designer to lead this emerging practice area.
