About The Position

The Technical Design Manager will lead the design and documentation process for custom indoor and outdoor projects, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards. In this role, you will manage 2D technical drawings, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and oversee project tracking and inventory management. This position combines remote design leadership with occasional on-site involvement to support project execution and maintain quality standards. You will drive technical innovation while mentoring team members and ensuring seamless collaboration across operations, production, and warehouse teams. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented, creative professional with a passion for temporary construction design and delivering exceptional project outcomes. Your contributions will directly impact the success of custom builds and enhance the overall client and fan experience.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in drafting, architecture, engineering, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in technical design, drafting, or related project management roles
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D technical drawings; experience with Revit or SketchUp is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills for project tracking, inventory control, and data management
  • Knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing competing priorities
  • Experience coaching or managing team members, with a collaborative, solution-focused mindset
  • High energy, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a positive “can-do” attitude

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, review, and management of detailed 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD for temporary construction projects
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to clarify requirements, incorporate feedback, and ensure designs meet project objectives
  • Maintain organized documentation of drawings, revisions, and supporting materials, developing a comprehensive design library
  • Utilize Excel for project tracking, schedules, and electronic inventory management, generating reports as needed
  • Ensure all technical outputs comply with building codes, industry standards, and internal guidelines
  • Guide team members on CAD best practices and technical documentation standards
  • Conduct site visits and on-site project oversight as required to ensure design standards and construction quality
