Technical Design Intern
About The Position
Technical Design Intern will assist in developing the technical design specification packages (tech packs) for finished goods for the company. These tech packs should include construction, fitting, sizing, and size grading details that correctly execute the intent of the fashion designer for the merchandise. Work closely with Technical Design Leads and Fashion Design to support the development of product. A day in the life… Note taking during fittings and other meetings. Measuring garments. Tracking samples and scheduling fittings. Analyzes garment construction. Validates Vendor Pattern back to block or reference pattern. Technical flat sketching. Spend time reviewing merchandise through e-commerce and retail channels to understand the customers feedback regarding fit and construction. Communicates clearly and concisely. Accountable for adhering to all processes, procedures, and standards. Meet all assigned dates in the Lilly Pulitzer® Product Development Calendar
Requirements
- Applicant should be working toward a four-year college degree, preferably with a major/minor in Fashion Design
- Must have proficiency and comfort in the use of technology to support Technical Design. This includes: The Centric® PLM System. Training will be provided. The Pattern Design System Module of Accumark®. Training will be provided. Adobe Suite of software including Illustrator and Acrobat.
- Basic computer skills, such as Outlook®, Word®, and Excel® in a Microsoft Windows® environment.
