TerraCycle Overview TerraCycle is an international leader in innovative sustainability solutions, creating and operating first-of-their-kind platforms in recycling, recycled materials, and reuse. Internship Overview Our technical teams focus on understanding consumer data, identify potential opportunities for future brand partnerships, and help refine the technical aspects of recycling-related processes. Ideal interns are data-driven, analytics-minded, resourceful and independent researchers able to work both independently and collaboratively. Interns will be tasked with performing data pulls, tracking KPIs, analyzing qualitative and quantitative consumer research and drawing actionable insights. Our technical teams include, Insights, Analytics, and Research and Development which support all of our lines of business. Other aspects of our technical teams are to help with the upkeep of the facility and ensure that all employees have the means and tools to actively perform their tasks. Research & Development interns develop recycling solutions for the different waste materials TerraCycle collects. Interns will conduct research on different materials to determine their composition and the various processes needed to recycle the waste. Ideal interns have LCA experience, are pursuing a degree in engineering or science, apt at documentation in a lab setting, and interested in learning about recycling process development. Interns will get hands-on experience learning about various plastics, and work closely with various teams to develop innovative recycling solutions. Facilities interns will work closely with the maintenance staff to learn about continued and proper maintenance of a commercial facility. Interns will learn the proper ways to inspect, diagnose and repair issues that arise with HVAC, electrical and water systems. Interns will also help with special projects that may arise this includes working with the design team. Interns will also be involved in verifying and accepting facilities tickets and the best practices for ticket management.
