About The Position

The Technical Delivery Lead serves as the quality and release authority across multiple client engagements within Gloo 360. This role is personally accountable for ensuring that all client-facing services - applications, integrations, data systems, mobile deployments, and AI-enabled solutions—meet defined standards of technical excellence prior to release. Operating partner contexts, the Technical Delivery Lead ensures production readiness, contractual alignment, data integrity, and systemic quality enforcement. Success in this role requires strong engineering judgment, calm leadership under pressure, comfort operating in ambiguity, and the ability to work across clients and teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, technical delivery, or production system ownership
  • Proven experience owning and approving production releases
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD systems, automated testing, and deployment governance
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with modern full-stack architectures
  • Prior client-facing technical experience
  • Demonstrated history of improving quality systems at a structural level
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as final technical sign-off prior to client-facing releases
  • Validate production readiness across multiple teams
  • Confirm defined release criteria are satisfied before final handoff
  • Ensure performance, security, data integrity, and observability standards are met
  • Establish and evolve release quality standards across services
  • Ensure automated test coverage is meaningful and enforced
  • Validate CI/CD pipelines enforce architectural, security, and regression policies
  • Confirm rollback strategies, feature flag safeguards, and progressive deployment practices are in place
  • Strengthen systemic quality guardrails following incidents
  • Participate regularly in client calls (milestones, releases, escalations, architecture reviews)
  • Communicate technical risk clearly and credibly
  • Explain tradeoffs in accessible language
  • Provide steady technical leadership during incidents
  • Strengthen client confidence in delivery rigor
  • Ensure work aligns with defined service boundaries and SOW agreements
  • Identify when requests exceed sustainment scope
  • Protect operational commitments (mobile releases, compliance, security posture)
  • Reduce reactive escalation through proactive quality enforcement
  • Clearly communicate technical decisions, tradeoffs, and progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute documentation and shared understanding across teams.
  • Support program managers in aligning scope, timelines, and expectations.
