Are you with us?!? We are looking for a Technical Customer Service Engineer to join our Filtration Americas BU. The main purpose of the position is to manage technical service activities, including technical support, for Filtration products within Mexico.

Requirements

  • University degree in paper technology, chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer sciences or textile technology
  • Strong technical background combined with commercial aptitude
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Creative thinking and technical capability to come up with new ideas
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Ability to develop close networking relationships at all level of organization, in different languages and cultures
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Availability for extensive travelling

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Identify development opportunities by developing relationships with technical customer organizations
  • Deepen knowledge of customers products and processes (and their evolution) and spread it within the internal organization
  • Cooperate with Sales, Operations, Logistics, Product Development and Quality teams to ensure optimal fit of Ahlstrom value proposition to customers technical needs
  • Develop and maintain technical and industrial knowledge in the use and application of own products as well as in machinery evolution
  • Support existing product upgrade development projects
  • Keep customers updated about ongoing projects and define/adjust priorities according to customers feedback
  • Support the introduction of new products to customer
  • Coordinate product promotion in cooperation with industry partners
  • Support Product Development in trial optimization by collecting meaningful customer feedback and support sampling logistics preparation, in cooperation with Production and Development teams
  • High focus on safety/environment targets and comply with all safety rules of Ahlstrom and customer sites, as well as support Ahlstrom quality and efficiency performance
  • Manage customer visit scheduling
  • Report on customer visits, including opportunities for product development, quality and product improvement as well as customer general perception on Ahlstrom products and service
  • Support the quality team for technical claims management
  • Grant Group policies, tools and processes implementation within technical customer service activities
