About The Position

Responsible for the Vascular Lab which includes accountability for the quality of patient care, the performance of the staff and the orientation, education and mentoring the development of the staff. Maintain Vascular Lab's National Accreditation. Extensive knowledge of the vascular exams performed: Carotid Imaging, Upper and Lower Arterial and Venous dopplers, Transcranial doppler, and other forms of imaging modalities.

Requirements

• AS degree in Applied Science.
• 5 years experience in Vascular Ultrasound.
• Clinically proficient in all phases of the Vascular Lab operations.
• Must have current RVT certification.
• BLS prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward.

Nice To Haves

• BS in Applied Science.
• Previous experience in directing a vascular lab.
• Experience in ICAVL accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Accountability for the quality of patient care in the Vascular Lab.
• Performance management of the staff in the Vascular Lab.
• Orientation, education, and mentoring of the staff.
• Maintain Vascular Lab's National Accreditation.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
• Assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements.
